Bukhara

Bukhara, an ancient city in Uzbekistan (central Asia) was a prominent stop on the Silk Road trade route. Located in the region inhabited for at least five millennia the city has long served as a center of trade, scholarship, culture, and religion. Often called "the Pearl of the Orient" for many centuries, Bukhara is not only considered a historical city but also a city of poetry and fairy tales.
